I co-founded Agouti Design in 2007 with the goal to create products that have a net-positive impact on the environment.

The first product, ECOasters, were made from diseased tree limbs cut down by local tree surgeons. The fungus in the limbs created unique patterns throughout the cross-sections. The packaging used shavings from manufacture to protect the coasters for shipping and was designed to convert into a plant pot once delivered - seeds included.

Several hundred coasters were sold at craft fairs and online before I left the company behind in 2009 to move to the US.
